Eriksen is now a free agent after his contract with Brentford expired on June 30.

Despite reportedly agreeing terms with Christian Eriksen, Manchester United have yet to confirm the deal, according to Sky Sports News senior reporter Melissa Reddy.

Reddy stated that the Red Devils will not rush the former Tottenham Hotspur star’s medicals because they want to be rigorous.

Eriksen had been ruled out of the game due to a cardiac arrest, but he surprised everyone by returning and having a successful last season with Brentford.

Eriksen is now a free agent after his contract with Brentford expired on June 30.

“Christian Eriksen is the one Manchester United expect will next get done. There’s a verbal agreement in place between him and the club.

“United say there’s no delays, but given his history with the cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, you have to be more rigorous in the medical.

“There’s positivity, everything will be fine. United are confident Eriksen will form part of their pre-season plans in Australia. That is one that is very close,” Reddy said.

The Red Devils have been a little slow in their transfer dealings, but the club has stated that it will be active.

Erik ten Hag, the new manager, is expected to rebuild the team, which will not be possible without new players.
